The best way to set your makeup mood for Fall is with a rockin’ lipstick. Besides having adorable boots, scarves and cozy cardigans, you really must top it off with your lip game. The perfect lipstick for fall must have a smooth matte texture with deep warm tones.
Orange, red, brown and deep colors are perfect to achieve the look. Those lips need to match the hot tea, warm leaves and pumpkin pie vibes. My absolute favorite brand to achieve this look is Mac. They nailed the smooth matte look and their colors are on point. I went through all of their mattes and I can assure you the very best lipstick for Fall… falls under this list 🙂
1. Antique Velvet: Intense Brown
This may just be the definition of Fall. This color is super rich, unique and an incredible attention grabber. I would go with this color for more of an evening look and a brown smokey eye. You’ll be that girl– in the best way.
2. Velvet Teddy: Deep Tone Beige
The Velvet Teddy matte lipstick is by far my go-to look. Let’s just say I’ve bought this lipstick more than once, and I’m wearing it in this photo 🙂 It is subtle enough to pull off anytime time of day and it has a rich color that stands out and makes the lips look plump and gorgeous. Highly recommended by moi.
3. The Whirl: A Dirty-Rose
This is great for a Fall date. If you’re going out with your SO or you’re hoping for a first kiss with that smokin’ bumble date, I would go with the dirty-rose. I’m not just saying that because of the name.. (maybe a little). It’s not too dark so day time or night, feel free to rock this baby.
4. Taupe: Muted Reddish Taupe Brown
This is color is the lightest of the bunch, and my favorite for a casual day time lip. It still has those fall tone hues without really being able to tell you’re wearing lipstick. It will just give off a natural warm tone to your curvaceous lips.
5. Persistence: Peachy Cinnamon
Okay.. does this lipstick sounds good enough to eat or is that just me?? Seriously though don’t taste it, it doesn’t taste like peachy cinnamon. What I can tell you, is your lips will look good enough to eat in this color.
Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall – F. Scott Fitzgerald (New life = new lipsticks!)
Since you know which tones look best on you better than anyone else, make sure you pick the one that you would typically go with. For example, if you know you’re more comfortable with lighter shades, you can still get the Fall look with the taupe beige color (#4 on the list). Personally, the brownish reds look best on my lips, but my favorites are always the middle tone colors like Velvet Teddy (#2 on the list) because I like a subtle lip I can throw on anytime. Whichever you choose, I know they will all look fabulous for the Fall season. Which color is your favorite? Comment below and let me know if you try them out!
